Howard was a 27-year police veteran who retired in 2016 out of Prince Georges County Police Dept. in Landover, MD. Throughout his career, Howard received special training from the FBI National Executive Institute, Section 38 and the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF).

Yarbaugh was a retired S.W.A.T. team leader who retired in 2021 from the Metropolitan Police District of Columbia Police Department. Yarbaugh was also a training staff officer for the MPDC police academy. His leadership was instrumental in raising training standards and bringing closure to many high profile cases within the DC Metroplitan area.
